DOD Advances in China TV Shopping Business, Supporting by Chinese Top TV Channel

DOD will advance in China’s TV shopping business to sell supplementary, Thai herb vitamin, nostrum and skin care through more than 20 channels of China Central Television (CCTV).


The source close to Ministry of Industry has revealed to “Kaohoon Online” that DOD Biotech Public Company Limited (DOD) was selected to be the distributor of supplementary, Thai herb vitamin, nostrum, and skin care through more than 20 channels of China Central Television (CCTV). DOD will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China’s Council of Science in China at the beginning of November 2018.

 

As of now, DOD aims to commercialize 10-20 products and will be starting to recognize the income on 4Q18, but to see an actual jump on net income and profit would be in 2019. Moreover, DOD has high confidence in this TV shopping business as the selling products match with the demand of consumers.

 

DOD once asserted that the 2H18 revenue would be high than the first half as the company is discussing business with various supplementary producers. Meanwhile, DOD will maintain its gross profit margin at 50% or more.

The consolidated financial statement of DOD in the first half of 2018 showed that the company earned ฿448.27 million in revenue, increased 108.03% from ฿215.48 million 1H17. DOD also booked ฿223.32 million of profit in 1H18, gained 153.60% from ฿88.06 million in the same period of last year.
