GUNKUL Starts COD 31.75MW “Sendai Okura”, Topping Its 2018 Total Capacity to 350MW!

The 31.75MW Sendai Okura Power Plant that GUNKUL had invested in starts its electricity feeding today.


Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (GUNKUL) has reported that Sendai Okura GD Daiichi Godo Kaisha (GK Sendai), a company GUNKUL had invested in that operates a ground installed solar power plant, has successfully started commercial operation of Sendai Okura Power Plant project with total capacity of 31.75MW on November 1, 2018.

Sendai Okura Power Plant project is located in Sendai Miyagi, Japan with total capacity of 31.75 MW. (38.10 MW: Installed Capacity). This is a project that produces and sells solar power to Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. (“Tohoku Electric”) at JPY 36 per unit in feed-in tariff scheme, with 20-year concession period starts from the commercial operation date.

 

With this 31.75MW from Sendai Okura Power Plant, GUNKUL will have total capacity of 350MW in 2018, while GUNKUL’s 40MW solar power plant project in Iwakuni, Japan, will start its COD on January 2019.
