Expressway Business Surges BEM’s Profit 231% to ฿3.12 Billion!
BEM's 3Q18 profit rose 231.87% to reach ฿3.12 billion, while its 9M18's profit also rose 104.40% to ฿4.83 billion.
Bangkok Express and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) has reported its 3Q18 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:
BEM booked ฿3.12 billion of profit in 3Q18, increased 231.87% from the same period of last year, while the company also grew 104.40% in nine months period, compared to 9M17.
The increment of profit in 3Q18 was due to the revenue of the expressway business increasing to ฿2,561.45 million, from ฿2,550.35 million YoY. The revenue from the tram system also increased to ฿1,217.93 million, compared to ฿1,170.14 million from the same period of last year. Moreover, BEM also profited from currency exchange for ฿2,496.27 million.
