Thai June Exports Drop 2% to ฿21m, Imports Fall 9% to ฿18m to Face Trade Surplus of $3.21bn

Trade Policy and Strategy Office Ministry of Commerce (TPSO) has reported the number of Thailand international trade in June 2019.

In June 2019, Thailand exports fell 2.15% YoY to $21.41 billion which less than the 5% contraction predicted in a Bloomberg survey. The Commerce Ministry figures showed that Thailand imports declined 9.44% YoY to $18.20 billion and the trade surplus was $3.21 billion while Bloomberg surveys expected a 2.5% slide in imports and a trade surplus of $841 million.

The overview of Thailand international trade in 6 months 2019 (Jan-June), exports declined 2.9% YoY to $122.970.70, imports shrunk 2.41% to $119.027.40 and the trade surplus was $3,943 million.
