Thai Stock Market Roundup September 6, 2019

A short summary to inform investors of what had happened in the Thai stock market on September 6, 2019.


SET closed at 1,670.06 points, increased 0.27 points or 0.02% with a trading value of 46.7 billion baht. SET rose to 1,679.65 points in the morning session before edging lower in the afternoon and close the day almost flat.

Foreign Investors poured 1.52 billion baht for profit-taking, plunging SET Index to close slightly higher.

The market had a low trading value after the rally for two days straight while facing a selloff from foreign investors for profit-taking in today’s trading session.

Finance sector led the market with a gain of 0.69%. SCB rose more than 1% in the morning session, but failed to keep up its gain and closed 0.43% down.

The three companies of PTT still received positive factor from the higher oil prices. PTT closed 0.56% higher, PTTEP increased by 1.6% while PTTGC closed flat.
