Johnson Secures the Win in the Election, Taking a Commanding Lead in Brexit Divorce.


U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party has won the majority in the House of Commons after securing 326 seats while the Labour Party led by Jeremy Corbryn has suffered their worst loss in four decades.

“At this stage it does look as though this one-nation Conservative government has been given a powerful new mandate, to get Brexit done and not just to get Brexit done but to unite this country and to take it forward,” said Johnson after acquiring the 326th seat.

The win from Conservative Party has shut the hopes of getting a second referendum down, and now Boris Johnson as the Prime Minister of the U.K. will set sail on taking the Kingdom out of the bloc by January 31, 2020.

 

However, Johnson’s Brexit deal has been agreed to in principle by the U.K. Parliament, but it has yet to be fully ratified by the troublesome lawmakers, those who refused earlier Brexit divorce including Theresa May’s deal.
