“Do Not Travel to China,” Warns US State Department, Raising Travel Advisory to Lv.4

U.S. State Department warns not to travel to China while raising travel advisory for China from Level 3 to Level 4 on the coronavirus outbreak.

“Do not travel to China due to novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China,” said the U.S. State Department in its notice after raising travel advisory for China from Level 3 to Level 4 on the coronavirus outbreak.

“Those currently in China should consider departing using commercial means,” added the state department.

The warning came after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a Public Health Emergency for International Concern while reporting its first person-to-person spreading case in a man whose wife travelled back from the epidemic center in China and later showed signs of contagion.

As of Friday morning, the virus already took 213 lives of Chinese people with confirmed cases of 9,692.
