Thai Exports Fall 4.47% in Feb, Imports Down 4.30% with a Surplus of $3.9bn


Trade Policy and Strategy Office, Ministry of Commerce has reported a summary trade of Thailand for the month February 2020, the figure showed exports valued at $20,641.75 million, down 4.47%, it was expected to shrink about 11% – 12% (if the export of oil, gold and armament grow by 1.5%). Imports valued of $16,744.49 million, down 4.30 %, meanwhile Thailand trade balance shifted to a surplus of $3,897.26 million.

The overall outlook of first two months in 2020 (Jan – Feb), an exportation was at $40,267 million, lowered by 0.81% and the import was at $34,925 million, lowered by 6.32%, surplused a trade balance of $2,341 million.
