Bloomberg ranked Singapore as the best country for Covid-19 response this month, dethroning New Zealand for the first time since the ranking debut last November.
The report stated that with a combination of nailing the virus and rolling out vaccines at one of the fastest rates in Asia, Bloomberg saw Singapore as top Covid Resilience Ranking.
As of April, over one billion doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered across the globe, even though new virus strains are challenging the fight and driving overall infection levels to fresh records.
But for Singapore, after a 5-month long fight against the outbreak among the migrant worker community, the city-state has finally put all the severe crisis under control and was able to roll out vaccines at one of the fastest rates in Asia. With this effectiveness, Bloomberg saw Singapore as top Cove Resilience Ranking, the measurement to classify where are the best and worst places to be during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Thailand fell 4 places in the world’s safest country amid Covid-19 pandemic.
The country is now in the 13th place, dropping from 9th place, edged out by Vietnam, Hong Kong and Finland.
