Oil Prices Mixed amid Flight Cancellations and Rebound of Record High Gas Prices

Oil price mixed on Monday with thousands of flights cancelled in the U.S. over surge in omicron cases, U.S. crude futures WTI slipped while Brent edged up.

U.S. crude oil futures WTI slipped by 0.83% to $73.17 while Brent crude oil futures inched up by 0.26% to $76.34.

In Europe, natural gas prices jumped to record high again on tight supplies which has supported price of Brent.

The next OPEC+ meeting is on January 4 and member are likely to decide whether to go ahead with a 400,000 barrels per day production increase in February.
