Trump Threatens to Impose a 25% Tariffs on European Cars if the Deal is Unfair!

Trump has threatened to impose a duty on imports of cars from the European Union if the EU doesn’t agree on the trade deal. 


“They know that I’m going to put tariffs on them if they don’t make a deal that’s a fair deal,” the president of USA told The Wall Street Journal

Donald Trump has threatened to impose a duty on imports of cars from the European Union if the EU doesn’t agree on the trade deal. 

In the interview with Fox Business Network, Trumps stated that the tariffs on automoblie from EU can reach upto 25% 

However, to maintain in a good relationship between US-Europe trade, Trump has postponed the official of imposing the tariffs several times. And as the strength and scale of European and US economy, French Ambassador Philippe Etienne warned that “tit-for-tat tariffs would hurt both economies”, “It is not in our interest to have an escalation of tariffs,”

Besides the threat of imposing car tariff, Trump also intimidated to put a duty up to 100% on French goods as a retaliation of digital service tax that would be affect the US tech companies. 

But Trump has confirmed to the newspaper Tuesday that he achieved a deal with French President Emmanuel Macron to delay a digital services tax that will hit U.S. tech companies until the end of 2020.
