SSP Starts COD of Yamaga Solar Farm, Boosting Its Total Installed Capacity to Hit 135MW


Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited (SSP) announced that Yamaga Solar Power Project, which SSP has invested through GK-TK structure for 90% of total TK investment amount, started the commercial operation on May 30, 2020. 

 

Yamaga Solar Power Project is located in Kumamoto, Japan. It has installed capacity of 34.5 megawatts and contract capacity of 30 megawatts. It has entered into Power Purchase Agreement with Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. for a period of 20 years with Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) of JYP36 per kilowatt-hour.

 

Mr. Varut Tummavaranukub, Chief Executive Officer of SSP, said that after Yamaga Solar Power Project started the COD, SSP will reach its total installed capacity of 135 megawatts in 2020, including solar farm in Vietnam and Mongolia, enhancing this year performance to report a new record. SSP targets to increase the capacity to hit 400 megawatts by the next 3 – 5 years.
