TTCL Jumps 9% after Signing a 25-Y PPA for 338MW “Ahlone LNG to Power Project” in Myanmar.


The share price of TTCL rose ฿0.65/share or 8.90% to ฿7.95/share with a trading value of 80.8 million baht as of 10:50 local time in Thailand on Wednesday. The highest share price was ฿8.10/share and the lowest was ฿7.65/share.

 

The increase in share price came after the company signed a 25-year PPA with Electric Power Generation Enterprise for Ahlone LNG to Power Project in Myanmar with a total installed capacity of 388 MW.

On January 19, 2021, TTCL Public Company Limited (TTCL) announced that TTCL Power Myanmar Company Limited (TPMC), a subsidiary of TTCL, has signed the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Electric Power Generation Enterprise (EPGE), under the Ministry of Electricity and Energy (MOEE), the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for Ahlone LNG to Power Project, a total installed capacity of 388 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (2 units of Gas Turbine 128.5 MW each and 1 unit of Steam Turbine Generator 131 MW), with the project value of approx. USD685 million equivalent to approx. THB20,550 million, in order to meet urgent power demands.
