Srisawad Corporation (SAWAD) to release its first-quarter 2021 operating results today (May 17). Analysts anticipate SAWAD’s net profit for the quarter to reach a potential new high of 1.3 billion baht, a 25% rise, primarily due to revenue recognition for the 160 million baht sale of Srisawad Ngern Sod Tun Jai. Profitability is expected to continue to rise steadily in the second quarter, backed by a shared profit from a joint venture company partnered up with the Government Savings Bank.

 

Gulf Energy Development (GULF) is expected to maintain its outstanding net profit in the second quarter of 2021 after fully booking revenue from the 662.5MW IPP 1 project. Meanwhile, the wind farm phase 1 project in Vietnam, with an installed capacity of 30MW, is scheduled to begin operation in June 2021. As a result, the company is confident that the  income for the year 2021 will meet its target. 

 

In the first quarter of 2021, Gunkul Engineering (GUNKUL) recorded a net profit of more than 600 million baht, up 38.60% year on year. The company is convinced that sales will exceed its target of 20% growth this year. While Ratch Group (RATCH) anticipates another strong performance in the second quarter of 2021, attributed to the rising electricity demand.

 

True Corporation’s (TRUE) results in the first quarter of 2021 were affected by 5G spectrum costs and a swing in the foreign exchange rate, resulting in a net loss of 581 million baht. These drove consecutive EBITDA growth to 14,053 million baht, while service revenue increased 1.1% to 26,868million baht. During the quarter, the number of 5G users surpassed 700,000.

 

Thai Airways (THAI) will have “suspend” signs tomorrow (May 18) as the equity is at risk of delisting from the stock exchange. Investors, on the other hand, continue to speculate on THAI. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Thai Airways’ survival, but regarding the consideration over further financial assistance, the cabinet will have to wait for Creditors’ vote on the rehabilitation plan which is scheduled on May 19.

Exotic Food (XO)’s 1Q21 net profit grew 121%, meanwhile, Thai Vegetable Oil (TVO) recorded an overwhelming net income of 882 million baht, an increase of 78.
