HANA Jumps 4% to All-Time High on Baht Weakness, Analyst Expects 2Q Earnings of ฿589Mn

The share price of Hana Microelectronics Public Company Limited (HANA) rose ฿3.00/share or 3.99% to ฿78.25/share as of 15:53 local time in Thailand, with a trading value of 1,810 million baht.

Capital Nomura Securities (CNS) forecast HANA to report a net profit of 589 million baht in 2Q21 (+24%YoY, +43%QoQ), supported by 1) an improving demand in semiconductor for telecommunications and cars, 2) capacity utilization rate increased to 95-98% from 1Q21 at 93%, 3) selling price adjusted, and 4) good management in SG&A. For the full-year outlook, CNS expects HANA’s earnings to grow 22%YoY.

CNS is bullish about the electronic sector. As of currently the peer is traded at 24x PER21F, thanks to Thai baht weakening and positive earnings outlook.
