BAY’s Interest Income and Service Fees Buoy Profits Up to ฿6.2bln.

BAY earned ฿6.2 billion in the third quarter of 2018, an increase of 3.32%, while its 9 months also increased 6.69%


Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited (BAY) has announced its 3Q18 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:


BAY grew 3.32% YoY from 6 billion baht in 3Q17 to ฿6.2 billion in 3Q18. Its net interest income had reached ฿19 billion, ฿1.7 billion higher than last year, while the net fees and service income slightly rose about ฿100 million. BAY also had a huge gain of almost ฿2 billion from operating income.

 

As of September 30, 2018, gross NPLs stood at ฿38,927 million, an increase of ฿1,305 million, or 3.5%, from ฿37,622 million at the end of 2017. Compared to June 2018, gross NPLs increased by ฿1,510 million, or 4.0%. Meanwhile, the ratio of gross NPLs in 3Q/18 stood at 2.12%, compared to 2.05% in December 2017, and 2.02% in 2Q/18. The ratio of gross NPLs of corporate loans remained stable at 1.2% from 2Q/18, meanwhile, NPL ratios for SME and retail loans were at 6.5% and 2.0% respectively.
