EA Invests ฿1bln. to Develop Non-Polluting E-Ferry, Starting Operation at Year End
EA has made a press conference on its new project to develop non-polluting electric ferry by investing ฿1 billion.
In the press conference today, Energy Absolute Public Company Limited (EA) has announced that the company will develop its battery technology on the non-polluting electric ferry to transport passenger across Chao Phraya River from Nonthaburi Pier to Wat Raja Singkorn Pier. The total length of this route is approximately 20 km. and the EA ferry would use 40 minutes to travel from end to end.
EA states that the total value of this project is approximately ฿1 billion for 54 ferries, and will successively open its service at the end of this year. The company asserts that in the rush hour, the ferry will arrive every five minutes.
