SAAM Loses 19% of Profit in 2018 from Higher Expenses, Offering ฿0.025 Dividend

SAAM's 2018 profit fell 19% to 15.44 million baht due to higher expenses, but still handing out dividend payment at ฿0.025/share, XD May 2, 2019.


SAAM Energy Development Public Company Limited (SAAM) has reported its consolidated financial statement yearly 2018 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:

In 2018, SAAM recorded a net profit of 15.4 million baht, fell 19.05% from 19 million baht in 2017. The decline in profit was due to increases in administrative expenses to support business expansion, renewable energy project development expenses, and write-off of deposit and work in progress totaling 1.61 million baht.

Moreover, the Board of Directors has approved a dividend payment at ฿0.025/share on May 22, while an ex-dividend date is on May 2, 2019.
