PTTGC Jumps 3.7% to ฿62.75 after the Announcement of Share Repurchase Program

On May 28, 2019, the share price of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) closed at ฿62.75/share in the morning session, increased ฿2.25/share or 3.72% with a trading value of THB 1.4 billion. The highest of the morning session was ฿63.25/share while the lowest was ฿61.50/share.

A sudden jump in share price might be due to the announcement of share repurchase program from PTTGC late yesterday for financial management purpose in the maximum amount not exceeding THB 3,000 million and the number of the shares to be repurchased is 50 million shares or approximately 1.1% of the total issue shares. The repurchase period covers the duration of 6 months, starting from June 11, 2019 to December 9, 2019.
