Hong Kong Airport Reopens, Thai Airways Resumes Normal Flight

Hong Kong airport has reopened on August 13. Still, hundreds of flights are listed as cancelled. Thai Airways has also resumed normal flight.


After the shutdown of Hong Kong airport in the afternoon of August 12, 2019, the airport has reopened today morning, August 13. Still, hundreds of flights are listed as cancelled while the airport authority is trying to reschedule the timetable.

However, the authority advises that passengers should be aware and alert at all times as protestors are calling for another protest at the airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Thai Airways has also announced that the airline has resumed normal flight from August 13 while advising passengers to check for more information at thaiairways.com or THAI Contact Center at Tel. 02-356-1111 (24-hours a day).

Hong Kong Airport Authority has stated in the website that Hong Kong International Airport will implement flight rescheduling today (13 August) with flight movements expected to be affected. Passengers are reminded to pay attention to the latest flight information through the airport’s website and “HKG My Flight” mobile app. Please confirm the flights before heading to the airport.
