Asia Stocks Slump after the U.S. Manufacturing Activity Sinks to Lowest in 10 Years!

Major stocks in Asia were all fallen after the report overnight that manufacturing activity in the U.S. contracted to its worst level since June 2009.


In the morning session of October 2, 2019, major stocks in Asia were all fallen after the report overnight that manufacturing activity in the U.S. contracted to its worst level since June 2009. Together with the release of weak manufacturing data from Europe, causing worries to investors on the economic slowdown.

Overnight, Dow Jones sank 343.79 points or 1.28%, S&P 500 plunged 1.2% and Nasdaq fell 1.1%.

As of 9:35 local time in Thailand, Nikkei dipped 0.63%, SSEC lost 0.92%, HSI plunged 0.95%, ASX 200 fell 1.30% and Kospi contracted 1.37%.

Yesterday, SET closed at 1,624.09 points, declined 13.13 points or 0.80% with a trading value of 40.8 billion baht.
