The Second Wave of Coronavirus Strikes S.Korea as the Infection Hits 8-Week High after the Reopening Economy.

South Korea showed signs of contracting a second wave of the coronavirus outbreak after the country reported 79 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, May 28, 2020, hitting the highest figure in nearly eight weeks.

 

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) stated that at least 82 cases this week were linked to a cluster of infections at a logistics facility in Bucheon.

The rising number of contractions was believed to be the failure of following protective measures such as social distancing, mask wearing.
