Global Reports a Record Single-Day High Covid-19 Infections over 500,000!


Global coronavirus cases made a record single-day high with a spike of more than 500,000 for the first time on Wednesday as countries across the world reported rising virus cases, especially in Europe, America and parts of Latin America.

 

According to the tracker, the daily new coronavirus case increased by 530,581 on Wednesday along with 7,259 new deaths. Many countries imposed tougher measures, while some went into lockdowns to control the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

Total global coronavirus cases stand at 44.4 million and approximately 1.17 million deaths or around 2.36% from the infection.

Europe, North America and Latin America account for over 66% of global cases and over 76% of global deaths.

According to Reuters data, Europe reported a record daily-high on Wednesday for 250,000 cases as infection rates doubled over the past two weeks, pushing total cases in the region to 9.5 million cases and 261,000 deaths.
