Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO) has reported its 3Q20 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
EGCO reported a net profit of 2,267 million baht in 3Q20, decreased 19.68% compared to the same period of last year. The decrease was mainly due to a loss in foreign exchange for 805 million baht, compared to an FX gain of 224 million baht in 3Q19 and a gain of 2,016 million baht in 2Q20.
The company managed to lower its expenses for the quarter, reporting 8,991 million baht in 3Q20, compared to the amount of 9,804 million baht in 3Q20. Impact from financial instruments was at 184 million baht, decreased from 433 million baht in 2Q20.
As of September 30, 2020, EGCO’s portfolio consists of 27 operating power plants, with a total contracted capacity of 5,418MW equity and 3 power plant construction projects, with a total contracted capacity of 331MW equity.
