SUPER Expects a Robust Growth in Vietnam to Boost Capacity to 2,000MW by 2022

SUPER expected the growth in solar farm and wind power plant projects in Vietnam to boost its production capacity to 2,000MW by 2022.

Mr. Jormsup Lochaya, Chief Executive Officer of Super Energy Corporation Public Company Limited (SUPER), stated that the company recorded total revenue of 2,230.64 million baht in 1Q21, increased 32.48% YoY, while net profit stood at 1,094.43 million baht, increased 38.65% YoY.

The increase in SUPER’s results was due to a full-quarter revenue recognition from three solar farm projects in Vietnam with a total production capacity of 550MW after the COD in late last year. SUPER currently has a total of 1,536.32MW in production capacity.

In the meantime, the wind power plant in Vietnam with a production capacity of 421MW will initiate its commercial of date on the first phase with 30MW by the end of this year, and will continue the COD in succession throughout 2022.

The result of this COD will increase SUPER’s production capacity to 1,900-2,000MW in 2022 and will benefit its operations in the next 1-2 years from the increasing production capacity.
