CRC Reports Improvement in 2Q21 Performance, Cutting Net Loss to THB471 Million

CRC made a huge improvement in 2Q21 performance, lowering its net loss from 2.5 billion baht in 2Q20 to 471 million baht.


Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited (CRC) announced its 2Q21 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

CRC reported a net loss of 471 million baht in 2Q21, improved from a net loss of 2,590 million baht in 2Q20. The improvement was due to the operation of all business segments throughout this quarter, while last year, there were temporary closures of non-food businesses, according to the measures enforced by the government.

 

CRC stated that during the second quarter of 2021, the company strategically expanded its presence through the launches of one new store of GO! Mall in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam. In addition, the company expanded new supermarkets, specialty stores, and brand shops. As of June 30, 2021, the company had 3.18 million square meters of net sales area and 0.61 square meters of net leasable area, which increased by 4.5% and 5.0% from the same period, respectively.
