Thai Junta Lifts the Ban on Political Activities, Clearing Ways for 2019 Election

To build the way for the election on February 24, 2019, the NCPO has lifted the ban on political activities.


The Royal Thai Government Gazette has announced that the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has lifted the 2014 ban on political activities to open ways an election that was scheduled to be on February 24, 2019. The lift will allow people to discuss freely on political issues, while the political parties can begin their rallies.
