THAI’s Rehabilitation Plan Moves to Cabinet Meeting, Differing in MOF as a Guarantor

THAI’s Rehabilitation Plan to be Discussed in Cabinet Meeting Tomorrow, Differing in MOF as a Guarantor.


Thailand Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Transport have agreed on the rehabilitation plan for Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), while differing on borrowing with MOF as a guarantor.

 

Ms. Naruemon Pinyosinwat, the spokeswoman of the Office of the Prime Minister stated the resolution of the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, on the rehabilitation plan for Thai Airways International PLC (THAI).

The meeting has agreed on the rehabilitation plan for THAI, while againsted the plan to borrow 50,000 million baht, having the Ministry of Finance as a guarantor.

The rehabilitation plan, under the Bankruptcy Act, will be proposed to the Cabinet meeting tomorrow.

PM Prayut asserted that the rehabilitation plan does not lead to a bankruptcy.
