China Wards Off New Covid-19 Cluster in Qingdao as SSEC Leads the Region with a 2.6% Gain.

The Chinese Authorities reported a new cluster of coronavirus contractions in the eastern port city of Qingdao, snapping a streak of over two months without local transmission.

The authorities found three asymptomatic cases linked to a hospital that treats coronavirus imported patients, and discovered nine more cases of which six are asymptomatic in the hospital area.

Further testing had proceeded immediately as the local health commission expected to cover 9.5 million (total residence in Qingdao) within five days.

The cluster snapped over a 2 months virus-free streak in China, however, the infection in Qingdao is unlikely to interrupt the recovery momentum in the Chinese economy as the country recently celebrated its victory over the virus along with 637 million domestic trips during its 8-day holiday in October.

The SSE Composite Index (SSEC) closed 2.64% higher on Monday, while the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) jumped 3.15%.
