JMART’s 1Q21 Earnings Jumps Nearly 220%, Handing Out Bt0.15 Div. and Issuing JMART-W5

JMART reported a profit growth by nearly 220% in 1Q21. The company paid an interim dividend at Bt0.15 per share and issued JMART-W5.


Jay Mart Public Company Limited (JMART) has announced its 1Q21 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

JMART reported a net profit of 333 million baht in 1Q21, increased 218.24% from a net profit of 104 million baht in 1Q20.

 

The total revenue of the company 1Q21 was equal to 2,883.1million baht, increased from the same period of the previous year 218.5 million baht or increased 8.2%. JMART’s revenue increased as a result of the mobile distribution business recovering revenue growth.

 

In the first quarter of 2021, the company’s total cost of sales and services was 1,988.3 million baht, an increase of 273 million baht or 15.9% over the previous year. This was due to an increase in sales in the mobile distribution business.

The company’s consolidated financial statements quarter 1Q21 gross margin is 894.8 million baht, increase5.7% from the same period last year. It was the result of the de-consolidation of the financial statement of KB J Capital which began in February 2021.

 

In the first quarter of 2021, the company’s selling and administrative expenses totaled 466.3 million baht, a decrease of 26.8%. The majority of this was due to the allowance of bad debt decline due to the de-consolidation of the financial statement of KB J Capital.

For 1Q21 operating profit of 590.2 million baht, an increase of 240.3 million baht or 68.7% increase over the same period the previous year. This is due to the company’s subsidiaries in each business segment continuing to generate net profit operating results.

 

In addition, the company announced an interim dividend payment at the amount of Bt0.15 per share to be paid on June 11, 2021. The ex-dividend date is May 25, 2021.

Moreover, the company also issued a warrant, JMART-W5, with a maturity date in 4 years at the exercise price equals to Bt70.00 per share.
