SET closed its unpleasant morning session by plunging 29.42 points or 1.85% to 1,561.87 points as a slowdown in the economy and US's issues with the shutdown and firing Jerome Powell worried investors not only in Thailand, but in Asia markets as well. In SET 100, CBG fell the most at 5.07%, while PTTEP and PTT slipped 4.29% and 4.21%, respectively, due to the falling crude oil price when the supply is still overwhelm the demand. Only TMB, DELTA and DTAC who were strong enough to withstand the negative sentiment. TMB closed its morning session at ฿69.5/share, unchanged, while both DELTA and DTAC gained ฿0.25/share each, rising to ฿69.5/share and ฿44.5/share, respectively.
