Zero Tariffs

Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, promised to work towards lowering trade barriers (maybe to zero tariffs) with the European Union, after a meeting with European Commission Chief Jean-Claude Juncker on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. After the meeting, Donald Trump stated that the EU also agreed to buy billions of dollars worth of American exports, including soy beans and natural gas, which are a tremendous market for American farmers, as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG). Both the US and the EU would also work to reform international trade rules. They would work for zero tariffs, zero non-tariff barriers, and zero subsidies on non-auto goods, said Donald Trump. The two did not mention car tariffs in their statement, but it is supposedly within the framework to find a better compromise as EU’s auto exports are also one of their main income.
