SCB’s 3Q18 Profit Reaches ฿10.5bln. from Rising Interest Income
SCB gained ฿10.5 billion of profit in 3Q18 as interest income rose.
The Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited (SCB) has announced its 3Q18 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows:
SCB reported a net profit of ฿10.5 billion in 3Q18, a 3.7% yoy increase mainly due to lower provisions compared to 3Q17. The bank gained ฿574 million qoq from interest income while facing a loss of ฿400 million from fees and service income. Meanwhile, the non-performing loans increased by 1.51% qoq due to the focusing on the SME segment and housing loans for self-employed borrowers.
