Thai May Exports Shrink 5.79%, Imports Fell 0.64% to Face $181.5M of Trade Surplus


Trade Policy and Strategy Office Ministry of Commerce (TPSO) has reported the number of Thailand international trade in May 2019.
In May 2019, a total value of Thailand’s exports was USD21.017.9, shrunk by 5.79% which is slightly higher than the expected (5%) and the imports value was USD20,836.4, shrunk by 0.64%, causing USD 181.5 million of trade surplus.

The overview of Thailand international trade in 5 months 2019 (Jan-May), the total value of exports was USD101,561.3 million, decreased by 2.70%, the total value of imports was USD100,830.3 million, decreased by 0.99 and trade deficit was USD731 million.
