GUNKUL Signs the Contract of 900Kw Solar PV Rooftop Project with HCU


GUNKUL Engineering Public Company Limited (GUNKUL) has signed the contract of Solar PV Rooftop Project with an installed capacity of 899.1Kw with Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU). The Solar PV will be installed in the 3 buildings which are education building, auditorium building, and nutrition building of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University located in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan.

The university expected the Solar PV Rooftop Project to save a lot of electricity cost in each year and helped to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to the atmosphere approximately 735 ton/year or equal to absorbing of 55,000 trees. Moreover, it also helps to reduce small dust such as PM2.5.

Sopacha Dhumrongpiyawut, a Chief Executive Officer of GUNKUL said “ This is an important collaboration of the group of companies and to prove that the solar power can be used in a commercial for the industrial sector and production sector. As a result of taking advantage of solar power, the entrepreneur will have a low electricity cost and use it effectively as the main power”

GUNKUL would like to be a leader of renewable energy business both in domestic and overseas, especially Solar Rooftop business which is the main target of GUNKUL. GUNKUL expects the private sectors to see a significant of using clean energy and supports government policy. Moreover. It also helps to develop the country to low CO2.
