Djokovic Outlasts Federer for 16th Titles in a 4hrs 57mins Match, Longest in Wimbledon Final!


Wimbledon 2019 Championship, gentlemen’s single was one of the most anticipating matches in Grand Slams history as two top tennis players faced each other in the final.

The Serbian and world’s no. 1, Novak Djokovic has won 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 13-12 (7-3) against world’s no. 3 and the man who holds the most grand slam titles in men single, Roger Federer in a trilling match, lasted four hours 57 minutes, the longest final in Wimbledon history(more than two hours in the fifth).

It was Djokovic’s 16th Grand Slams and his fifth Wimbledon titles. He saved two championship points in the fifth set when Federer led 8-7 (40-15), showing how great his mental strength was.

As for Federer, the man was chasing for the record to be the oldest Grand Slams’ title holder at the age of 37, just weeks before his birthday.

Djokovic trailed Federer on first-serve points won, winners made, aces, break points converted, games won and total points won and led him on double faults, but the Serb won the key points – and none more so than in the final set, making him came out top.
