COVID-19 Death Toll Tops 2,000 as New Infections Decline


Regarding to the Chinese National Health Commission’s report on February 18, the number of Coronavirus confirmed case has surged to 74,185 cases with 136 additional deaths on mainland. The death toll already surpassed 2,004 so far. 

While the confirmed case outside China rose to over 1,000 cases with 7 deaths. 

However, the data showed that the number of new COVID-19 cases likely to be declining in China said by the World Health Organization (WHO).

“It’s too early to tell if this reported decline will continue. Every scenario is still on the table,” the WHO said in a statement.

“This trend must be interpreted very cautiously. Trends can change as new populations are affected,”
