Brazil’s President Bolsonaro Tests Positive for Coronavirus

The Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, announced on Tuesday (July 7,2020) that he has tested positive for coronavirus. 

President Bolsonaro took his fourth virus test on Monday after developing symptoms, including a high temperature. “It came back positive,” he told reporters while wearing mask yesterday outside the office residence.

“There’s no reason for fear. That’s life,” the president added. “Life goes on. I thank God for my life and the role I’ve been given to decide the future of this great nation that is called Brazil.”, according to The Guardian report.

Brazil is currently the second-highest number of Covid-19 cases (1,668,589) and deaths (66,741) in the world, after the US.
