Treasury Department to Decide a Rent Waiver for AOT this Week, Analyst Gives TP at ฿57


The Treasury Department to decide whether giving a rent waiver for Suvarnabhumi Airport this week – possibly as much as 2.9 billion baht – after Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) sending a clarification letter for the Covid-19 impact on corporate finance activity. Asia Plus Securities (ASP) has given a target price of AOT at ฿57/share.

 

The source closes to the matter revealed that AOT has sent a letter to the Treasury Department to clarify the impact of coronavirus pandemic on its revenue. Initially, expected  that the Treasury Department will waive rent for AOT by an amount of 2.9 billion baht for the year 2020.

 

Analyst of ASP stated that a rent waiver will provide an advantage for AOT’s finance that previously experienced a significant decline, and will also improve its 2020 financial performance.
