EP Invests ฿7Bn in 4 Vietnam’s Wind Farm Projects, Expecting a COD in 2021


Eastern Power Group Public Company Limited (EP) announced that the Board of Directors’ Meeting held on August, 28 2020 has resolved to approve the subsidiary to invest in the 160-MW-construction of wind power generation projects (EPC) in Vietnam in Project HL3, Project HL4, Project TN and Project MN, a total production capacity of 160 MW with a total investment of approximately USD 223.10 million or approximately THB 7,040.92 million. Construction starts in November 2020 and expected to complete and COD by October 2021

 

Objective of entering into the transaction is to expand the business into production and distribution of renewable energy in the section of wind energy. In this regard, EP has sold investments in solar power generation and distribution projects, causing a certain amount of cash to be used for investment, in order to benefit the company and shareholders.
