THAI Jumps 5.9% in the Morning Session after the Court Greenlights Rehabilitation Plans


The share price of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) in the morning session on September 14, 2020 was closed at ฿3.58/share, an increase of ฿0.20/share or 5.92%, with a trading value of 40 million baht, after Central Bankruptcy Court greenlights THAI’s rehabilitation plans. 

The Central Bankruptcy Court of Thailand today (Sep 14) has ordered THAI to enter the rehabilitation plans as the company requested. The Court also appointed EY Corporation Advisory Services Company Limited along with ACM Chaiyapruk Didyasarin, Mr. Chakkrit Parapuntakul, Mr. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Mr. Boontuck Wungcharoen, Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand and Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron as rehabilitation planners.

Mr. Chansin stated that the rehabilitation plans should be completed by 4Q20 and before the starting of 1Q21.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) maintained a “C” sign on THAI due to its shareholders’ equity was less than of paid-up capital.

The listed securities, which have been posted C sign, shall be purchased with  Cash Balance account only (each member must ensure that its customers pay the full amount in cash prior to trading.) from the date of C signposting until elimination of such event.
