OSP-CBG-ICHI to Benefit from the Government’s ฿51Bn-Cash Handouts


Analysts looked positively towards F&B stocks such as OSP, CBG, SAPPE and ICHI after the Thai Cabinet approved a 51 billion baht cash handout, while expecting AOT, AAV, MINT, CENTEL and ERW would benefit when the country reopened for tourists. 

 

Finansia Syrus Securities (FSS) stated that the 3,000-baht handout for 10 million people and the additional 500 baht given to 14 million low-income people through social-welfare card will reflect  a positive sentiment to F&B stocks such as Osotspa Public Company Limited (OSP), Carabao Group Public Company Limited (CBG), Sappe Public Company Limited (SAPPE) and Ichitan Group Public Company Limited (ICHI), meanwhile viewed that retail stocks would disadvantage from this stimulus package. 

 

Regarding Thailand reopening, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has approved first priority six groups of foreign visitors including 1. bicycle racers who participate in the Chalerm Prakiat International Cycling Race 2.Thai Airways pilots and cabin crews who travel along those athletes 3. holders of temporary visa 4. holders of special condition long-stay visa 5. holders of business visas from low-risk countries and 6. holders of non-immigrant types of visa, who are willing to enter Thailand with a requestment of a six-month bank statement, equivalent to at least 500,000 baht.

 

FSS expected tourism-related sector would take advantage from this regulations such as Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), Asia Aviation Public Company Limited (AAV), Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT), Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited (CENTEL) and The Erawan Group Public Company Limited (ERW).
