U.S. Lessens Thailand’s Travel Advisory to Low-Risk Level on Success in Curbing Covid-19

The United States lowered Thailand’s travel advisory to exercise normal precautions following the successful efforts in curb the spread of Covid-19 nationwild.

 

United States Department of State on November 23 dropped the travel advisory level from Level 2 to Level 1 for Thailand after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 1 Travel Health Notice for Thailand due to COVID-19, together with New Zealand. 

 

However, Thailand’s borders are still closed for all foreign nationals with few exceptions, but domestic transportation including air travel has already resumed the operations. 

 

According to the US Department of State website, U.S. citizens can exercise normal precautions in Thailand, yet be aware that some areas have an increased risk, also warning to reconsider traveling to Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, and Songkhla provinces due to civil unrest.
