Japan’s retail sales rose faster than expected in November largely attributed to decreasing COVID-19 cases in November.

The Japanese government on Friday approved a record $940 billion budget for fiscal year 2022, including cash payouts to families and businesses affected by the pandemic.

However, economic prospects seem bleaker as Asia fights against omicron variant.
