NWR Expects to Book ฿3.4Bn after Signing for a High-Speed Rail Project, connecting Bangkok-Nong Khai.


Nawarat Patanakarn Public Company Limited (NWR) has announced that on March 29, 2021, CAN Joint Venture, consisting of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (CSCEC), A.S. Associated Engineering (1964) Company Limited (AS) and NWR, jointly signed the contract with the State Railway of Thailand for development of high-speed rail systems to connect regions Bangkok-Nong Khai (Phrase 1 Bangkok-Nakhon Ratchasima) Contract 4-3 Civil Works for Nava Nakhon-Ban Pho Section.

 

The construction of the elevated railway structures is 23 km. long. Meanwhile, the contract also includes the construction of the runway to the maintenance center, building and constructing a support train system, drainage system, relocation of utilities and other works required for the project.

 

The total project value is 11,525,350,500 baht in which NWR will be 3,457,605,150 baht from its portion of 30% in the joint venture.
