A Decrease of Patients Causes BH to Report a Decline of Profit in 1Q by 29%.


Bumrungrad Hospital Public Company Limited (BH) has reported the 1Q20 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

BH reported a net profit of 765 million baht in 1Q20, decreased 29.24% from a net profit of 1,081 million baht in 1Q19.

BH reported revenues from hospital operations of 4,090 million baht, an 12.0% decrease YoY from 4,650 million baht in 1Q19. This was mostly due to a decrease in revenues from Thai patients and non-Thai patients by 2.5% and 16.4%, respectively. As a result, the revenue contribution from Thai patients was 34.7%, whereas revenue from non-Thai patients was 65.3% for 1Q20 compared with 31.3% and 68.7%, respectively, for 1Q19.
