THAI Loses State-Enterprise Status after the Complete Transaction of "MoF" to "Vayupak".


The Ministry of Finance had sold 3.17% stake of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) to the Vayupak Funds at a price of THB 4.03 per share for a total of 69 million shares, amounting 278 million baht, stated the source related to the matter.

The deal was not a transaction through the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). THAI is expected to made an official announcement through SET on Monday, May 25, 2020.

After the transaction, the Ministry of Finance will hold a stake of 47.86% in THAI, which will cause the company to lose its state-owned enterprise status.
