Breaking News! Thai GDP Shrinks 12.2% in 2Q20!

NESDC reported on Monday morning of a contraction of 12.2% in Thai 2Q20 GDP, better than the market’s anticipation of 13%-17% contraction in the quarter.


 

The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) reported on Monday morning of a contraction of 12.2% in Thai 2Q20 GDP, better than the market’s anticipation of 13%-17% contraction in the quarter.

 

Meanwhile, the NESDC forecasted Thai exports in 2020 to contract 10% from an earlier forecast of 8% contraction, and imports in 2020 were forecasted to contract by 15.4% from a 13.2% contraction earlier.
