EP Posts a Fifteen-Fold Increase in Profit of ฿ 886Mn after Disposing 4 Solar Plants


Eastern Power Group Public Company Limited (EP) has reported its 3Q20 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

The Consolidated net profit of EP for 3Q20 is Baht 886.42 million in comparison with net profit of Baht 54.27 million for the same period previous year, an increase of Baht 832.14 million or 1,533.24% and for the nine-month ended of September 30, 2020 is Baht 1,018.87 million in comparison with net profit of Baht 226.07 million for the same period previous year, an increase of Baht 792.81 million or 350.69%.

 

The main reasons for the significant changes was from a profit from disposal of investment from solar power plants totaling Baht 1,307.91 million, which are the sale of solar power plants in Thailand, a total of 4 projects. The total capacity of 20 Megawatts which consists of 2 projects at Bo-Ploi power plants, size10 Megawatts, Lopburi power plant 5 Megawatts and Prachinburi power plant 5 Megawatts and from the sale of solar power plants in Japan 2 projects with a total capacity of 21.76 Megawatts, consisting of the 9.52 Megawatts Kurihara-1 project and the 12.24 MW Kurihara-2 project.
