Energy Sector Soars as Investors Welcome the High Closing WTI Price at $64.40/bbl

SET was buoyed by the energy sector as investors flooded the market with buy pressure after WTI closed higher yesterday.


On April 9, 2019, SET was buoyed by the energy sector as investors flooded the market with buy pressure after WTI closed higher yesterday. WTI for May delivery rose $1.32 or 2.1% to $64.40/bbl for May while Brent for June delivery rose 76 cent or 1.1% to $71.10/bbl.

 

As of 15:53 local time in Bangkok, PTT hiked ฿0.50/share or 1.05% to ฿48.25/share. The highest was ฿48.25/share and the lowest was ฿47.75/share with a trading value of THB 1.47 billion.

PTTGC rose ฿1.25/share or 1.81% to ฿70.25/share. The highest was ฿70.25/share and the lowest was ฿69.25/share with a trading value of THB 1.65 billion.

PTTEP gained ฿4.00/share or 3.14% to ฿131.50/share. The highest was ฿131.50/share and the lowest was ฿128.50/share with a trading value of THB 1.41 billion.

TOP increased ฿1.00/share or 1.41% to ฿71.75/share. The highest was ฿72.25/share and the lowest was ฿71.25/share with a trading value of THB 1.04 billion.

ESSO soared ฿0.40/share or 3.51% to ฿11.80/share. The highest was ฿11.80/share and the lowest was ฿11.50/share with a trading value of THB 219 million.

BCP gained ฿0.25/share or 0.77% to ฿32.75/share. The highest was ฿33.00/share and the lowest was ฿32.50/share with a trading value of THB 42 million.
